This is a league format that Millworks is using starting in March. If you are interested in setting up a league, this is similar to the one we set up in Reading years ago.
THE MILL WORK’S PICKLEBALL LEAGUE
LEAGUE DURATION: every Thursday night (5p-7p) for 7 weeks starting MARCH 24. Play will start promptly at 5p. If we do a second session it will start at 7p.
TOTAL # of TEAMS: 8. (all teams must be approved by League Director). (Again, depending on the level of interest we could do two sessions and a total of 16 teams and 64 players)
TOTAL # of PLAYERS: 32 or 64
COMPOSITION of TEAMS: players will form their own team. 4 players on a team: 2 male and 2 female players. Each team will choose a team name and captain. The captain will be responsible for coordinating with the League Director- Donald.
No team may have more than two players that are rated above 4.0. (per Pickleball Brackets or UTPR) Teams are permitted one male and one female 4.0 player only.
SUBSTITUTIONS: are permitted. Captains must first choose from the player league wait-list*. All substitutions must be approved by the League Director. Captains must submit the name of the player to be substituted and the name of the replacement player no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of a match.
TEAM MATCH FORMAT:
One Men’s Double- 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2,
One Women’s Double- 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2,
Two Mixed Doubles- 2 out of 3 games to 15, win by 2 (each team will have two mixed double partners that will play the other teams mixed double partners).

Cash Prizes or equivalent may be awarded.
BALLS: Onix Indoor Balls (orange) will be provided by the League Director. If teams agree and reach consensus, an alternative ball may be used.
Registration League Fee: is due at the time a team is approved.
MEMBER: $70 per player for 7 weeks of league play.
NON-MEMBER- $126 per player for 7 weeks of league play.
* a Wait List will be maintained for player’s unable to find a Team and for teams needing substitutions.
